Bio:

Born just before the Fury of Gruumsh, Arcaeus was left abandoned in the woods for unknown reasons. He was found by Markus and Heather, a human couple without children of their own. Knowing of no nearby Elven settlements, they took him in. The only thing with the child was a bracelet with his first name etched into it; “Arcaeus.”

The village was secluded enough that it escaped the Fury of Gruumsh’s destructive nature, though there were plenty of Human refugees to bring news of the horrors. Thus it was that Arcaeus grew among Humans, knowing little else about other races save for the fear his village had for them all. All this fear has led to Arcaeus becoming somewhat stoic and jaded; he is overall indifferent to the other races, as well as people in general, growing introverted and isolated from others. Arcaeus does favor Humans slightly over other races, being familiar with them more than other races. On the other hand, he has grown something of a dislike for Elves, likely stemming from a deep pain he feels for being abandoned, even if he doesn’t believe so.

Arcaeus, prior to beginning his adventures, has only met a handful of outsiders, including a Dwarf, a few Gnolls, and some Kobolds, all of which were warily regarded by the villagers. As such, he has some difficulty telling Halflings/Gnomes apart, as well as Goliaths/Humans and Elves/Half Elves.

Arcaeus left his village shortly after his 20th birthday, following a Kobold merchant caravan as a guardian. Though young for an Elf, he had been trained as a tracker and hunter by some of the other villagers and was more than prepared to move on with his life. He thanked his parents for raising him and set off. He felt no sadness in his leaving, but also no real joy. He did not know exactly what he was going to do, but knew he wished to travel. And according to his fellow villagers, mercenaries were becoming the next big thing. He believed he had a solution…

433R7M – Arcaeus joins Dragonfury Company, led by Fetin Drebbinard, as a mercenary.

433R1O – Fetin retires from the mercenary life, leaving Arcaeus to his own devices. Ilfari decides she wants to keep fighting as a mercenary and joins Arcaeus as a mercenary under his leadership, effectively starting a new company.
